Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Planning, Design, and Construction Criteria (PDCC) is located at the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Atlantic in Norfolk, VA. PDCC consists of a highly qualified staff of engineers and architects responsible for the technical adequacy of all Navy shore facilities design, construction, and maintenance criteria. As a member of the Unified Facilities Criteria Program, NAVFAC along with USACE, AFCEC, and other Defense agencies work together to develop and publish unified criteria for the Department of the Defense.
NAVFAC, USACE, and AFCEC were initial participants in the Whole Building Design Guide and will continue to partner with National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS), other government agencies, and industry to support its development.
